sand blowing back into pool

I have a small amount of sand blowing back into the pool through the eyeballs (don't know the correct name). Why is this happening and how do I stop it?

Sounds like the laterals at the bottom of your sand filter are cracked and need to be replaced. Pretty easy to do yourself. Empty the filter of sand from the top. Unscrew the laterals (cylinders that are slotted at the bottom) and replace with new ones. Add water to cover the new laterals then put your sand back in and the top back on.
