please help! we put in new liner this year and filled pool with water from ground water source that we have used before to partial fill after winter. Pool was a little cloudy most of spring put was resolved by July. We went on vacation for two weeks came back to green pool. Green has cleared but now water si so cloudy can't see down more than about 12 inches. Cholrine tests a little high and Ph and Alkalinity all normal, have changed sand in filter and backwash daily. Pool stores say tests are normal it has been 4 days with filter running how do we make the water clear. First time whole pool was filled with ground water source. 25000 gal pool

This is normal after a pool turns totally green. The dead algae particles make the water cloudy and unfortunately it is now up to your filter to clear it out which could take 10 days or more (usually about a week). You need to keep your chlorine high during this time so you dont have any more outbreaks. Backwash your filter only when necessary. Wait until your pressure gauge reads 10-15psi higher than normal before backwashing. A slightly dirty sand filter works better than a totally clean one.

Yeah, I should've recommended floc but unfortunately results vary widely when people use floc. Some people have great success with it while others have absolutely no success.
