Need help with pool algae-tree limbs in pool

We have a 21,000 gal pool - never have had water probs. Tree fell over pool and limbs in it from Hurricane Ike. Since clean up, we cannot get water clean. We have spent about $500 trying to shock and clear up pool. Any suggestions?

what are your numbers?

we use the bbb method and our pool costs very little to keep clean.
