Vacuum to Waste

Vacuum to waste is a filter setting where the pool water bypasses the filter and is simply pumped out the backflush/discharge hose. I use this when I open the pool is Spring. I know there is debris on the bottow and there's no sense clogginh my filter cleaning it. Set the filtert to vacuum to waste, hook up the vacuum and pump the water right out. You can also use vacuum to waste to lower the water level. Hope this helps?
