Pebble Tec Green Tint

Postby ernie1228 » Tue 04 Aug, 2009 19:47

Hello,
I don't know much about pool maintenance however my family recently had Pebble Tec (Tahoe Blue) installed when we resurfaced the pool. Our pool man assured us that he knew how to care for this new surface. He comes every week however I noticed that toward the tail end of the week, there is the slightest green tint on the walls. When we would bring this to his attention, he adds a ton of chemicals until the water is extremely murky for the next two days or so. This seems to solve the problem for the time being however I am worried that he doesn't really know what he's doing and is damaging the surface in the long run. Anyone knowledgeable have any thoughts?
