Dried Algea in drained pool
We drained our pool after it turned green and full of algea. The algea has dried to the sides of the pool. What is the best way to remove it?

if your pool isnt painted i would start off using a metal brush a spray bottle from lowes or any hardware store a couple bottles of maratic acid and a water hose, dilute maratic acid in pest control sprayer 1/4 acid the rest water you may have to make stronger better to start off weak will eat threw concrete if too strong that should take off most of algae make sure to have water hose running and spray down right after scrubbing in maratic acid it will keep eating away at concrete if not washed away. you can mess up pool if not done right. another option is fill up pool start scrubbing buy some algea killer, keep chlorine high backwash filter everyday scrub every day until clear. if you have pieces of plaster missing causing areas to form black algae unless you repair you have to scrub your pool almost everyday to keep it from returning.
hope this helps!
