Mustard Algse - has no-one ever had this problem???

Algae problems in swimming pool water.
Green (cloudy) water or slimy pool walls.
Black algae. Mustard algae. Pink or white pool mold.

Thanks again chemgeek. That phosphate reading was actually 3000. I backwashed this morning and it looked like milk!

Yes, that is the phosphate remover (lanthanum chloride or lanthanum carbonate) combined with phosphates and carbonates getting backwashed.
