My Pool: 10000 gal in ground polygonal Pebble tech, intelliflow var speed, sand filter using not regular or De but a newer filtering medium?

Temporary reverse flow

When my pumps starts up there is a gush of reverse flow causing my skimmer and floater valve to upturn, after the gush, the skimmer returns to normal flow and suction?
