Postby Pagina73 » Sat 14 May, 2022 10:30

We have a 24ft above ground pool, when we started trying to open it the other day the pump doesn’t do anything but hum (it’s a Hayward power flo lx pump, SP131321BC) do we need to replace the pump ?

Not usually, its normally the start run capacitor (condenser) a low cost part that is normally easy to find if you contact a motor specialist or a good pool shop.
I may not give you the answer you want to hear, but I will give an honest opinion of your situation as you decribe it.
