Raypak Heat Exchanger

Postby njchino0726 » Tue 20 Sep, 2022 10:24

Hello,

I have the following heater: Raypak Digital Natural Gas Pool Heater 266k BTU | Electronic Ignition | P-R266A-EN-C 009217 P-M266A-EN-C 009963. Unfortunately the heat exchanger needs to be replaced. Is this something that is super difficult to do? My pool guy told me I'd be better off replacing the entire heater, but the heater is only 2 years old.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Gabe

Cant help I'm sorry, hopefully someone will be able to answer. We are all heat pumps in the EU.
I may not give you the answer you want to hear, but I will give an honest opinion of your situation as you decribe it.

Maybe your first thought would be why did it fail
The other would be to get more quotes for a new heat exchanger fitted and a new heater fitted
One thing to bear in mind is that spares are more expensive than a finished product ( that if you was to build a product from spares it would be grossly expensive)
