Want to run variable speed pump as single speed.
Want to run variable speed pump as single speed.
I have a Hayward Tristar VS Pump (sp3200vsp) that I would like to run as a single speed pump. I know that sounds backwards, but I just upgraded my main pump to a different VS pump, and now I would like to use the old VS pump to run a water feature, which was previously run by a single-speed pump. I have everything hooked up, but I don't know what to do with the dip switches and/or the relay inputs. I am assuming I can adjust the dip switches and/or put in a jumper wire to make it function as a single-speed pump. Anyone know how to do this? If I took the pump into the shop, I am pretty sure they would have a way to make it run without all of the extra wiring. That's essentially what I would like to do, just make it run with power only, i.e. reduce it to a simple on/off pump. TIA.
