Hello everyone,
I have a 12,000 gal salt pool, built in 2010 and it seems that every 5 years or less my booster pump for the pool cleaner goes bad. I can tell that the engine is still trying to turn the pump, however pump seems stuck and the engine can't turn it and runs really hot, too hot to touch when trying to run it.
I replaced the pump already twice, once in 2015 or so and again in 2018. Why would it go out so frequently? Is it worth disassembling the pump part of the unit, could something be stuck in there? I like to dig in and fix things myself, just want to get some input if possible.
Pump is: Pentair LA01N Single Speed Booster Pump for Pressure-Side Pool Cleaner
Thanks a lot for any advice! I promise to check back in a day or two so please type away
