Fiber optic lighting problem

Postby jasonfu » Thu 24 Jan, 2013 14:05

I have a 10 year old SuperVision by Hayward fiber optic lighting system installed inground. The tower seems to have given up... My local pool builder say that the only way to replace the system would be to drill new holes in the pool and dig down to run new wiring for LED, as the fiber lens are in a 2" return type hole...anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Fiber optic lighting problem

Hello, fortunately you do not have to drill anything and use everything you already have setup.

The industry already saw these halogen/colored/fiber optic starting to age and fail and responded with direct LED retro-fit replacements. As you probably already are aware, there's all kinds of benefits going LED versus staying halogen for pool lighting. LED offers more color variations than before.

A company by the name of SAVI Pool and Spa offers retro-fit tubes for most of the common manufacturers of fiber optic lighting.
