I self-installed this heater several years ago. I'm not sure what I did, but during the wiring process, 2 times I got a buzzing noise when connecting the wires. Not sure why, ( I hope it wasn't hooking 220 to the 110 connections).......Fast forward to the present. Heater doesn't do anything. The "standby" light is lit, but mode and temperature buttons are in-op. Anyone familiar with this unit, and what might be the problem?
Background:
There is 220 available at equipment pad.
Although this replacement heater is bigger (btu) than original, gas lines are over 1 1/4" O.D. , the run is about 30 feet from meter. But connections are less than 1" O.D. at the meter, and at the heater.
I just had installed a new Variable speed pump/filter, so I know the water flow is adequate thru heater.
I recently had cover off heater. Wires seem to be all connected, (correctly ??), and fuse is OK.
I checked supply wires and the 2 I have connected both carry 11o.
