Hi, I am completely new to this forum, we have a 15 foot round above ground, very well looked after, had to replace pump this year because my husband broke toggle switch. lever head would not work in position properly so we bought a new one, having same issues with new one as old one, no backwash pressure at all, when trying to vacuum on waste, dirty water blows back into pool, we did change the sand this spring, 60lbs of it, I am ready to lose my mind, there is sand in the filter glass, not much, when we run it in circulating there is correct amount of pressure on the gauge, as well when running it on any option water still trickles out the waste hose, we are at a complete loss
any help would be great
Thank you
no backwash, dirt comes back into pool on waste setting

It seems that when you added the sand some has got into the MPV and ruined your spider gasket
It's an easy and cheap job to do
