Circulating pool without sand pump??

Postby breeziedlee » Thu 06 Jul, 2017 21:19

Is there anyway to circulate pool when the sand pump is not connected??? I was getting a ton of sand in the pool so we disconnected filter and found the laterals needed replaced. Parts are on order but going to be a few days.

I have no idea how to fix it. I think you should ask the experienced plumber and start fixing till the parts arrive.

If you have a MPV you can run on recirculate or bypass. This will allow water to circulate without filtering
You don't need a plumber
Replacing laterals is easy the hard bit is getting the sand out of the filter, a wet vac has been used to great effect
