G3 Barracuda cleaner

Postby Gfernandez121438 » Sat 15 Jul, 2017 11:35

I have a G3 Barracuda cleaner, it is running very slow, does not climb the walls, I have cleaned the filter and strainer basket. It has a dedicated pool cleaner line. I operate it with the bottom drain closed and the skimmer barely opened. When I shut the skimmer off the cleaner speeds up but it starts to suck air. This cleaner used to climb the walls without any problems. Help please.!

When you introduce a vacuum into the pool you put an extra load on the suction side and you are probably sucking in air somewhere
Does the pump basket fill with air when vacuuming
Try lubricating the pump "O" ring with silicone grease first, then check round the pump as well as your hose
