We have a Pentair Legend Platinum, about 12 years old, with a booster pump and are looking to replace it. If we were to buy a Polaris 280, and assuming the booster pump is working correctly, is it just as simple as taking one cleaner out and hooking the other cleaner up to the pool wall?

In theory yes, although there maybe some adapter required.
