High Pressure when vacuuming ?

Postby Bobcat82 » Tue 18 Jun, 2019 07:53

Good day and thanks in advance ,

I am having an issue when it comes to vacuuming my pool --> The suction is strong - and the "vacuum works fine " for the first 3 or so minutes .. but that quickly changes as the filter box is quickly drained-- The pump is sucking the water out of my filter/ strainer box faster than it can be supplied through the hose attached to the face plate on the skimmer box --once that happens , air enters and I lose prime .

It is the same pump , heater, hose and vacuum that i have been using for years with no problems like this in the past-

any help is GREATLY appreciated !

Bob

How high is the water in your pool? It should be 1/2 to 2/3 up the skimmer opening
