Algea possible filtration inadequacy

Postby ChrisnAmber » Sat 03 Aug, 2019 14:15

For the last few years everytime the water temp gets in the 80's we consistently have algea overgrowth. Same thing happened this year . So for the last 4 weeks we've been shocking the heck out of the pool. Got the water tested and the test said everything is in balance! but we still have algea. It's not going away. So last Monday we actually put 12 bags of shock in the pool and the filter has been running 24/7 for the last 6 days. We even replaced the sand with Zyolite in the filter. Any ideas to help?

I would be a multi billionair if I had a dollar for everyone who says their water is in balance! What are your water test results and NOT from dip strips?
Your CYA stabiliser figure, the MOST important chemical in your pool! 12 bags of shock on top of how much packaged chlorine has probably sent the CYA figure over 100ppm but we need to know accurately what your water figures are.
Zeolite, Stop getting pool shopped, take control of your pool, we can help!
