Hi guys, I hope you are all well. Here is a photograph of our pool pump check valve as it was when we bought the house. unfortunately the check valve seems to be failing and so water is falling back down into the pool skimmer area leaving a large amount of air in the pump basket. The photograph of the pump shows it full of air with a pump running at 750 RPM.
Is there any way to fix the check valve without sawing the PVC off?
If we do have to replace it what is a better way to do this and enable future easier maintenance of the check valve?
Thank you.
Is it possible to repair this check valve in situ?

That looks like a typical pump installation in the States. Screwed directly in making the pump and NRV impossible to maintain
Cut the NRV and pump out and refit it with unions. You will probably have to move the pump and use some elbows as well
