Hi all,
I have sand in my pool. I bought the house 2 years ago and was planning on replacing the sand soon. I'm guessing the standpipe or laterals are broken allowing sand into the pool. Any recommendations on chaning the parts and sand? Recommendations on which type/brand of sand? I have a S244T sand filter.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Sand in pool
You don't necessary need to replace the sand but if you do
Pool Filter Sand, is specifically graded silicone quartz, . 45-. 55 mm in size, otherwise known commercially as #20 silica sand. You will find it to be clearly labeled Pool Filter Sand.
You are correct somethings broken inside
It's a devil of a job, a wet and dry vacuum may help

Re: Sand in pool
Thank you. I'll have to remove all the sand and at that point assess it. Does it matter which brand of sand? Any better than another? I appreciate the help.
