Rust on pool ladder

Postby beanPoolOwner » Thu 11 Jun, 2020 15:45

My ladder is deeply rusted on about 5 cm at about the waterline. The rest is in fine condition.

It seems a bit of a shame to replace the whole ladder. Is there a way to repair this?

I would be inclined to scrap it as rust will put iron into the pool with resultant staining

Thanks. I did scrap it some time ago, but the rust came back quite quickly. Is that expected?

Do you mean staining in the pool, if so then the damage has been done and you will need to do an Ascorbic Acid Treatment and then add a sequestrant or change the water
