Issue connecting automatic pool surface cleaner to old cement pool with nothing but cement on outake valve

Hello I bought a PoolDevil Pro automatic surface cleaner that hooks to the output flow on the pool. My issue is that I cannot connect it because there are not threads on my pool to screw the connector in. I contacted the company and they sent me an adapter but it is too fat the output hold on my pool if oval. Does anyone have any ideas?
