LS,
In my pool I have 2 pool drains at the bottom, 2 water outlets on the side and 1 skimmer.
When I shut off the two-way valve, the pump runs itself dry. So I'm asking myself, what is this pipe for? There is no water coming out of it and going into the pump.
I believed, since I have two pool drains at the bottom, that each was routed with separate piping. Looking at schematics online I can't find any where this is would be the case. It looks to me the most drains are connected with a T and then run with a single pipe to the filter installation.
Can anybody possibly tell me what the pipe with the question mark is for?
What is this pipe for?

Re: What is this pipe for?
It could be for a vacuum port that is capped off in the pool, otherwise it would be bypassing your normal filtration cycle

Indeed. It was hidden behind the stairs in the pool. Thanks for your help!
