Robotic cleaner and pool filtering

Postby vadimw » Sun 07 Feb, 2021 15:16

Hi,
I have a system where a robot is connected to a suction port with a suction hose cable. The robot is mechanical one. When the water is sucked it goes through the pool filtration system and returned back to the pool. The suction port is located at the top portion of the pool. Recently, I purchased a robotic electrical robot. The new robot is cleaning better the walls and floors. I'm considering removing the old robot with its hose, such that the suction will be done from the top portion of the pool, and goes through the pool filtration system. The reason I want to remove the old robot is it is more esthetical and I don't need to handle 2 robots, but one. My concern is that the filtration system will not be as effective because the suction will be done from one place and the top portion of the pool. I'm concerned it won't collect all the dust and other pollutants.

Any comments are welcome.
