Any ideas where this pool pump leak is coming from?
Any ideas where this pool pump leak is coming from?
I have a leak from underneath my pool pump and was looking for help. I replaced the gasket between the pump/motor and tightened the bolts real good. I see there are two drain plugs on the side bottom of the pump. I visually checked those - no water seems to be coming out of those drain plugs. I posted a short video on Youtube - https://youtu.be/F2LOMN10elU. I have a Hayward SP3000X pump. I was looking for ideas before I detach the pump from the plumbing, flip it over and check it out. Maybe the pump itself developed a small crack underneath? Thanks in advance - Dave

The ceramic seal between the pump motor and impellor
You will need to take the pump out and disassemble

That did the trick. $28 parts from Leslie’s. Thanks so much for you suggestion. Dave
