Skimmer for pool vacuum hose

Hello,

I am new to this forum. I am looking for suggestions regarding an aftermarket skimmer that will work with my pool vacuum. I have a Zodiac Barracuda G3. My pool is older and only has one skimmer line. It is a pain to constantly remove the pool vac and put in the basket when the surface needs skimming.

I have seen the Gator Auto Skim advertised at $138, but I’m not sure it will work well. Does anyone have a suggestion for my setup? Thanks!
