I am looking forward to ordering the first cover for our pool. It's taken quite a bit of research, but I have finally found a DIY way to measure, order, and install the cover. (rotary impact drill on it's way!)
Thanks to Swimming Pool Steve - his website is rich with information, and is worth a look. (https://www.swimmingpoolsteve.com)
I have narrowed my choice to a mesh (rather than solid) style cover. The only remaining choices are - regular or heavy duty, and manufacturer. I would be interested in seeing feedback from owners who have had their cover for a few years, and what their experience has been so far.
I'm also curious about storage methods. I don't yet have a handle on the most popular means of storing the cover during swimming season.
One of the benefits, in my view, of DIY, is that the cost savings can be re-directed towards funding the apparent best avail product.
Cheers - Grant.
