Pentair 1.5 HP requires daily start

I have a Pentair 1.5 HP pump. Every morning I have to go out and press the number 1 to get the pump going. I initially thought it was losing prime, but when I press the number 1 the pump immediately starts and the fountain starts flowing. So I wondered if something isn't set wrong to cause it to default to a non-staart up mode. Any guidance would be appreciated.
