Minimax NT not heating the spa above 90-91 degrees

Postby mirots » Mon 29 Nov, 2021 10:51

Hi,

I have an old Minimax NT 400 heater which is still working. I am usually taking care of it on my own. I have a weird issue that Spa is not heating up above 90-91 degrees - thermostat led goes off when this temperature is reached and the heater stops until temperature goes down. If I switch the heater to Pool - it continues to heat above 91 degrees. There is a new yellow wired thermistor and the temperature shown on heater is correct. The set point for Spa is 104 degrees.
This happens in remote control mode also.

Any idea what could be the problem?

Thanks.

Not sure of your setup but if the pool will heat above 91 then I would assume that it is the spa thermostat that is faulty
