Hi there,
First time poster, just bought a house with a 46,000 gallon in ground pool. Have a few questions based off intel from the previous owned:
1. Pump and multiport valve both need to be replaced
2. Entire setup appears to need to be taken off the pavers, and put on a slab(looks pretty bad)
Never owned a pool but, I’m pretty handy I simply need to figure out:
1. How to size the pump correctly. I currently have a 1 speed Hayward and would like to move to a variable
2. Are all multiport valves internally, the “same” if the piping matches?
Happy to take pics and excited to learn more about pool equipment and maintenance in general!

Re: Hello, need some advice
It's a big pool you have there, it wont matter much what size of pump you have if its not matched to the filter size and the plumbing is too small. What size is the single speed pump? so more information needed,
I may not give you the answer you want to hear, but I will give an honest opinion of your situation as you decribe it.
