Pool heater / heat pump frosted lines from evap coil to expansion valve

Postby Aaajaws » Mon 23 Jan, 2023 18:53

Located in SW Florida a new home to me but not a new heater . Noticed the Freon lines from the evaporator coil to I believe is the expansion valve lines developed frost quickly. Warm water is entering pool at outlets in pool. Temp of water 65° asking for 82°. Outside air 78°. That frost can’t be reached right ??? I have pictures if needed .

Outside one side of coil looks clean ? Is there a blockage .

Sounds like a question for an AC/heat pump forum more than a pool forum.
I may not give you the answer you want to hear, but I will give an honest opinion of your situation as you decribe it.

Heat pumps do frost up but they have auto defrost, it's like a refrigerator in reverse
