Side Pressure Cleaner help

Postby havokczl » Sat 28 Mar, 2009 18:06

This is my first post here. I have a side pressure cleaner that worked fine a couple months ago, but now the pressure I get out of the hose that attaches to the side of my pool is weak & puny. It's controlled by a booster pump that I switch on. The pressure cleaner itself doesn't move at all, due to the anemic pressure thats coming out. I don't see how though, but, could there be a blockage somewhere? I do have a bit of air in the system, but it didn't seem to be a major issue previously, because the cleaner did the job just dandy. I just replaced the hose that connects to the booster pump. I'll gonna troubleshoot, by taking out the filter to let things flow to see if makes a difference. Any help, suggestions, ideas, I certainly would consider.

Could it be that the pressure on my filter gauge needs to be higher?? It's presently at about 12 psi.
