Repalce Fiberstars Fiber Optic

I have an old fiber stars 6001 light single light the fiber optic is shot and doesnt transfer light well, want to replace with below.
Does anyone have any cheaper solutions? I see some cheap ebay LED lights for a fraction of price. not sure if they are bright enough
Any other suggestions welcome thanks
