Can someone tell me what "shocking" a pool means and what it does as opposed to chlorine? :oops: I'm lost and just bought one of the small 1750 gallon pools

shocking a pool means you are super chlorinating the pool because of general treatment, rain water, low or no chlorine and for countless other situations.
