We have owned a new home since July 2006. We had a pool and spa added during the construction process. Since owning the home, the spa light has had to be replaced 5 times. The builder says that he cannot find the problem, and continues to change out the light.
I am concerned about an electrical problem that may eventually become a shock hazard. The circuit is GFCI protected.
Any ideas on what or where the problems is?
Spa light constantly burns out

Pool lights are notoriously finicky things.
Typically the globe is halogen and cannot be touched with your fingers.
They must be run at least once a week for 20 minutes at a time and preferably once a day to keep the globes working something about temperature, but I have forgotten why.
The transformer must be correctly sized to the light.
No water must be able to get in to the light or cable connection.
