I have a problem with my skimmer vacuum system. When i plug the hose into the thru wall skimmer port and begin vacumming the pump gets ahead of of thewater flow thru the hose and begins surging followed by the lid blowing off the skimmer. SWIMMING POOLS OF TUPELO responded with "I'VE NEVER SEEN THAT HAPPEN BEFORE" and no help. Anybody know the cause?

Hi your pump is sucking air when vacuuming. Could be low water level, leak around vacuum cuff or leak in vac hose.

The skimmer lid blowing off is classic sign of air build up in the filter blowing back under pressure.
