LED light swap help

Hello. First time pool owner here. Been figuring things out over the last month and think I'm getting the hang of it, but could use some help and advise about my pool light. I'd like to get the housing opened up and replace the old bulb with one of the new LED lights that can do different colors, patterns, etc. I've stopped into a few local pool stores, but no one carries them, so I'm going to have to order online.

After watching some how-to videos, I believe I'm supposed to figure out what type of housing it's in before I'll know what type of bulb to order. Well I've looked all over the outer ring of this light from inside the pool with goggles on and I don't see any type of stamp or marking indicating who the manufacturer is.

What should I do at this point? Just pull the whole housing out, crack it open and try to figure it out from there? Also, how will I know what type of new seal I should order before putting everything back together? Is there a universal seal that would work?
