Help replacing Hayward CrystaLogic with J&J ColorSplash

Postby douirc » Sat 18 Jun, 2022 14:25

Hi everyone,

I have a Hayward CrystaLogic LPLUS11050 14v 75w 3250 lumen lamp that is malfunctioning (flickering). I called an online pool supply store to purchase a replacement with similar specs and was sold a J&J product.

I was told to purchase the J&J ColorSplash XG LPL-F2C-12-50-P. While looking up the installation instructions online, I noticed there are actually two ColorSplash pool products, XG and XGW. The XG is 33w 847 lumen and the XGW is 58w 4270 lumen. My conclusion is I should have been sold the XGW and not the XG lamp.

Before I submit an RMA, can anyone offer guidance if what I was sold is sufficient or if I should exchange it? I cannot get a clear answer from the online pool supply store.

My pool is rectangular and approximately 33' x 14' x 6' and the niched is in the deep end, about 3' below deck.

Thank you!
