PH v TOTAL ALKALINITY

Postby ljmesg » Sun 18 Mar, 2018 12:29

My Ph is dead on 7.2 or so.

My total alkalinity is showing 10ppm. It takes 1 drop of ALK-30 to turn the green water to red.

Recommended total alkalinity is 80-120ppm.

If I add sodium carbonate won't it raise my Ph?

Confused?

What is your pool made of?
You would, if you need to increase the alkalinity, add sodium bicarbonate (Arm & Hammer)
You will get less of a pH increase. Please post all your water figures so we can see exactly where you are at.
