I had my inground pool winterized (I'm in CT) by a local company. I just looked under the pool cover -- there's ice about 6-8 inches thick up to the coping, and the coping has dropped about an inch beloww the surrounding deck. I'm assuming this means bad things have happened to the pool too. (I thought winterizing was supposed to stop problems like this.)
What should I do at this point? Break through the ice, and pump some water out -- or might this cause further problems.
Thanks for any and all advice.
