18x33 vs 18x40 above ground pool - feedback
18x33 vs 18x40 above ground pool - feedback
I was wondering if anyone out there can give me feedback on above ground pool sizes. We want a larger oval above ground pool, and the brands that we are looking at (resin models because we want to use salt) mostly come in 18x33 and 18x40 sizes. Anyone know if there is a big difference in the stability of these two sizes (buttress free), or in the ease of heating with solar panels? I would like to be able to swim laps...obviously the 40ft would be better for this, but I'm assuming the 33ft would be sufficient. I would appreciate any comments from owners of these sizes of above ground pools. Thanks.
Pool size selection
the ease of heating with solar panels?
The 33-foot pool would take about 14,000 gallons of water while the 40-foot one would need almost 17,000 gallons (at 4-foot depth)
That's quite a difference when it comes to heating.
I just found these nifty pool volume calculators, and got these numbers out of it.

18x33 vs 18x40 above ground pool - feedback
I choose 18x40 Intex ultra frame pool set because its durable and long lasting swimming pool and a lot sturdier compared to old traditional round metal frame pool.
