Swimming in my pool after visiting the beach

Postby stem99 » Mon 15 Jun, 2009 12:16

So I just returned home from a vacation in the outer banks. My question is do I need to do anything special to my bathing suit and swim toys to insure that I keep my pool from being contaminated. I am a new pool owner and I recall some talk about this at pool school but I can't remember.

There have been exotic strains of algae thought to have been brought home in bathing suits. A good wash, probably with bleach might be a good idea.

Just to be safe you should probably give it a simple wash, but it's not likely a big deal.
