What type of a pool you will built?
Gunite, fiberglass, vinyl, above ground?
It is as colorful, as a favored vacation spot.

I just got a Heritage 12ft x 36in for $270. Above Ground Pools are great right now in the summer and really easy to take care of.
Were you wanting something bigger and more professional?

Whats the size of your pool
It all depends on what you want to do with your pool. If you are a lap swimmer, then anything less than 32 feet in length is going to be annoying (we have a 16'x32' in-ground plaster pool shown here and here). It is 3' in the shallow end and 6' in the deep end and is 16,000 gallons, though without the ramps and seat it would be closer to 17,000 gallons.

I have a gunite in-ground that is 16 x 32 slightly kidney shaped that is 25K gallon. It's 3 ft in the shallow to 10ft at it's deepest point with a small diving board (useless, don't bother). Also a slide, which gets the most use.
