Heater pilot

I have a Hayward gas pool heater, which is about 12 years old (model: HM350). The pilot assembly is rusted and needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, Hayward no longer builds this part. I don't want to spend $2000 on a new heater for a $50 replacement part. Please help!
