Heater bypass, is it a good idea?

Postby Blowout » Mon 02 Jul, 2012 00:05

Remodeling the pool and have redone all the plumbing in the process. Since I'm in CA and electricity is expensive, thought about a valve bypass of the heater to increase efficiency of flow. Any thoughts if it is worth it?

3 Jandy valves would be needed to do the job and then need 3 actuators to automate the switching along with 2 more for the pool/spa. Any thoughts?
