Water flow to solar pool panels HELP

Postby adamsca814 » Mon 08 May, 2017 18:48

I purchased 4-20'x2' solar pool panels. which I installed myself. Mounted panels on roof and have added a pipe after the filter going to the panels, but the diverter valve included lets water flow to the solar panels AND back to the pool at the same time. I thought all the water coming from the pump through the filter should circulate through the panels, am I wrong?

The question is-the water coming from the solar panels is combined with the water coming from the filter, the water returned to pool is supplied by both; the solar panels and the water not passing thru the panels. I thought all the water should be going thru the solar panels, wrong or right???

I don't have solar panels but being a plumber I would thing you have it plumbed incorrectly
Your diverter valve should be fitted to direct through the panels and then the filter or just through the filter
With a check valve on the panels flow to prevent reverse circulation
