Hi
I'm new here. I'm from Scotland, UK and have a above ground 12ft swimming pool.
The question I have is I recently had my oil fired central heating boiler replaced and still have my old one albeit old and inefficient but never the less in working order.
I was wondering if I would be able to convert the old free boiler to heat my outdoor pool? I know it's old and i efficient but for the few days a year I'd be using the pool, it's cheaper than buying a different system.
Does anyone have an idea how I'd go about doing this?
Many thanks

You would need a heat exchanger to separate the pool water from the boiler water, like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BOWMAN-SWIMMI ... 0535556460
You would also need to convert your boiler to a sealed system if it isn't already. I would also add anifreeze to the boiler water to prevent freezer damage (with the possibility of a breakdown or oil supply problems, lower south you could probably get away with a frost stat)
