Yeah, unfortunately I only scratched the surface of diagnosing and coming up with a solution. I still think either the small tube feeding water to the switch is kinked or blocked, or the switch has sediment in it from the initial startup. I would've had to go all the way in to the heat pump to get access to check that.

Could it be that my equipment is too far from the pool? Need a larger filter canister? drain pipe filled with concrete? I'm not sure.

It could be many things including a combination of things making a difference. You could start with the distance from the pad to the pool, dia of pipework, size of filter and pump. For an added bonus how many sharp 90 deg bends. By comparison, I engineered my pool to be super efficient and that runs at 0.7psi and the pad is 30ft from the pool.
